Privacy Policy

realest ("we", "us") runs realest.my. This page explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We follow the spirit of the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).

What we collect

• Account details — your name, email and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We never store your actual password.
• What you add to your dashboard — properties, rent, money records, bookings, guests, team members, tasks and messages.
• Guest details you enter — names, contact details, ID type and only the last 4 characters of an ID number. Please only add guest information you're allowed to keep.
• Messages — when you contact an owner, we share your name, email, phone (if given) and message with that owner.
• Usage — pages you view and features you use, linked to a random visitor ID, so we can improve the site.

How we use it

• To run your account and show you your dashboard.
• To show listings you choose to publish on Area Check.
• To pass messages between people and property owners.
• To understand which features are used, and to stop spam and abuse.

We don't sell your information and we don't show ads.

Who can see your information

• You — everything in your account.
• Your team members — only what their role allows (cleaners: check-outs and their tasks; co-hosts: bookings, properties and tasks; accountants: money records).
• Everyone — only properties you switch to "Show it on Area Check", without your email.
• Our service providers — Vercel (hosting) and Upstash (database) store the data for us.

Cookies

We use two small cookies: one keeps you logged in, the other is a random visitor ID for usage counts. No advertising cookies.

Your choices

• Edit or delete anything in your dashboard at any time.
• Delete your whole account in Account settings — this removes your data and listings.

Area prices on realest are estimates from public asking prices. They're a starting point, not an appraisal or financial advice.
